Pride Film Review

Hi people!
I  have  miss  you to  much. Thi s day I write my last blog. This 
time is so real that this is the last blog. Well I hope you are fine 
and enjoy the life.

Today I will talk about the film "Pride"
This is a British movie directed by Matthew Warchus. The film 
was  released in  Cannes  Film Festival in 2014. It is based on a 
real  life  history  and  it shows  a  group  of  lesbians  and  gays 
activists who help to the affected by the British miners' strike in 
1984.

I  really  enjoy  the movie  because  its very funny and interesting. 
I love all the main  characters and  their relationship. Also I liked 
to know that the movie history es about real life events. This type 
of storyline makes me thinks about the many thing to happen and 
we did not know that.

My favorites characters are mostly the women of the support  group 
miners. They have the most part of the funny moments in the movie 
and they have  a  great progress  in  the  film. At  the beginning  they
have a resistant position in relation with the lesbian and gays support 
group, but in the finish they are a very good friend.

My favorite scene of the movie was in the end when the miners come 
to support the gay pride  demostration  in  London. I  found  it  a very 
iconic and exciting scene. It was a great final. 

I liked that the movie   show the evolution  of the characters and their 
feelings. But I think they can do a better job with the information that 
is given. I think the movie lacked explanation and context.

Well. Today is a sad day because this is the last blog :( It's a shame that this is over because

 it is a great activity.

Whatever. I hope you are well. I'm fine.

This experience was very entertaining and enriching. I don't write very well in english but I think

 I have done well during these blogs and I have I have learning many things. Also not only have.

 I have know things very interesting  about my colleagues.

I feel that my writing improves somewhat but I have not perfected my lexicon at all. I still need 

to learn more words and rules that are important within the language.

In the future I would like to include more topics where we can develop things that we love or like.

Maybe more personal topics and we can choose. For example, I would love to talk about guitars 

or Formula One or video games or whatever. I could also write about interesting topics or 

conspiracies. I like the themes of aliens or crazy things. I go not say that I believe in all that but I

 like it lol.

It was nice to meet you and tell you some things about myself.

My favourite subject

Hello everyone!

How are you today? I hope everybody are fine.

Today I will talk about a topic that I studied this semester and that I liked very much.

I mean Critical Theory. Its a subject that is in the schedule of the career this year.

I liked it a lot because in this subject I have learned many new things.

This subject has philosophical and social characteristics. Here we review authors denominated 

as “master of suspicion”, who made great contributions to the subject.

Critical theory consists of learning to think for ourselves and question established stereotypes.

During the class we review different authors and  analyze their texts. Some of these were Kant, 

Hegel, Marx, Freud, Adorno and other authors. Also we have discussed everyday issues analyzing 

them from a critical perspective or trying to discover what is behind.

This subject I like it because it makes us see society in a different way. We can analyzing how

 different areas work and how the capitalist system has changed the means of making art and 

how we see the objects. It helps me think about things and not keep the fists thing I hear or read.

Well. that was my favourite subject of this semestre. What do you think?

How are you guys? I hope you are fine.
In this block I will talk about a controversial person. I had already talked about this character 
before, when I talked about Wikileaks. This person is Julian Assange.

He is Australian and  Ecuadorian  naturalized. He founded  Wikileaks in 2006 and he is the 
editor of the same website. He studied in the Central Queensland University, the University 
of Melbourne and in the University of Canberra. 

He  became famous  after Wikileaks began lea king thousand of sensitive documents about 
the war  and governments. Also,  during  his life  he had  to face many legals battles against
corporations that were affected by the documents that Wikileaks filtered.

Currently, he  is in political  asylum in the Embassy of Ecuador since 2012, because he had 
legal problems and many threats.

This person for me represents many things in which I believe. I mean to the constant search 
of  truth  and doing something for  society.  Always the  case of  Wikileaks and the work of 
Julian Assange motivated  me to want to study something  where I could inform people and 
discover things of public interest that have to be known.

My favourite Film Director

I hope you are well. I`m very happy
Well. Today a will talk  about my favourite films  director Christopher Nolan.
He is british  and  american. He is a very famous  film director, producer and 
screenwriter.
His  films are  characterized  by unexpected  turns  and  frrequently deal with 
topics related to psychology.
I l ove how  he treats his characters and how he creates a very interesting and 
realistic environment.
My favourites movies direted by him are the more complex topics. In this case 
my favorites are Inception, The Prestige, Interstellar. But I also like his movies 
more realistic and experimentals films.
My best experience waching a movie of him was in the cinema when I went to 
see Dunkirk in IMAX format. It was awesome. The work done in the image, 
sound and editing was perfect.
Other thing that I love about his film is the music made by Hans Zimmer, who 
usually works with Nolan.
Also I like the movies of the The Dark Knight trilogy. Batman is my favourite 
superhero and Nolan did an amazing job with the character.

I want to share with you one of my favorites photos.

This  photography  was  taken when  I arrived to  m y home after a long day of work in 2016. 

That day I found out that I was selected in the career of journalism  in the University of Chili. 

Always it was the dream of my mother. She wanted to see me enter in a traditional university. 

And despite the bad economic moment that  we were past she gave me this detail. She waited 

for  me  with  a couple of  thing to share  and celebrate. The best  was there were  things that I 

liked very much, like the Chips Pop or Triton cookies.

The photography was taken for my mom and reminds me that special day. This photo I like it 

because shows how simple my mother is.  I  feel that this photo reflects that we can be  happy 

with simple things and nice acts. And how a little surprise can be converted in a great memory.

Bread and roses

Hello guys and girls!

I recently saw the film "Bread and rose" and here is my review...

I like the film “Bread and roses” because is a very good history about the problems of 

the immigrant in United States. I think that many problems shown in the movie are the 

same in the present.

My favorite character was Sam Shapiro, because he had a powerful and hard speech. 

His contribution for the storyline is decisive. Also he is determining in the decision 

of the protagonist to involve in the mobilization.

I like how the director introduces the characters because he manages that we involve 

with them. Also he make that we love all the Union.

The thing that I didn´t like was when in the film happened happy moments because 

always are interrupt for bad things.

The scene that I like more was when Maya call her sister traitor. This scene has many 
intense feelings. Maya discover the things that her sister had to do for take money.
